The Sisterhood of the Traveling Creepster Gnome

Meet Gucki.  Gucki is a gnome.  To be more specific, Gucki is a creepy, fear-inducing gnome.  Why?  Just look at him.  Gives me shivers.  Let me tell you Gucki's history and how he has come to live with me.  Normally I would not let such a creepy, fear-inducing gnome into my house.  But it wasn't exactly my choice.  Shortly after Christmas I went to visit my friends Anna and Angela at Anna's house.  Anna's mom was there and for Christmas she had received a book about gnomes and a little gnome doll named Gucki.  She somehow managed to pawn off the gnome book on me (probably because I have a hard time turning away books) and Gucki on Angela.  Angela didn't want it, but Anna secretly slipped it into Angela's coat pocket when she wasn't looking.  On another occasion Angela slipped it into Anna's purse.  Then Anna snuck it into my purse.  Then, visiting Anna again at her house, I snuck upstairs and put it under her covers.  Since then Gucki has been sneaking into our coat pockets and purses and desk drawers and cars.  Creepster as he is.

Yesterday I brought Gucki to dinner to secretly slip into Angela's purse (Anna was smart enough to only bring a little wallet).  I gave it to Anna to put in her bag while I hugged Angela goodbye.  Anna said she did it.  Success!  So I dropped Anna off at her house.  Anna got out of the car, told me to have a good trip, and suddenly threw Gucki onto the passenger's seat.  "Bring him with you to Ireland!" she shouted before she slammed the door and ran to her house.  Damn her.  But it seemed like a cute idea.  So.  I am bringing creepster Gucki with me to Ireland and he will travel alongside me.  More pictures of our adventures will be up over the next few days!

  1. This vaguely reminds me of how one day, my cousin mailed me a cat, and I had to take pictures of myself with the cat and mail them back to her. For some reason, I love stuff like this haha.
